How Would You Feel?

Reader Donald R. sent us a depressing picture, which is worth passing along, with a caption that I added:

How would you feel if this was you outside your home,
and the soldier was Chinese?

See, they don’t hate us for no good reason—we’re teaching them to hate us.

Something to think about this morning.

  1. As ye sow so shall ye reap.
Today the invaders are the USA rabble , yet come tomorrow the Chinese hordes will be the invaders.
It is only a matter of time.

  2. I would feel humiliated, I would want revenge.
I would pretend to be on the side of these US soldiers, but secretly I would be plotting my revenge, I would be making IEDs, I would be doing everything I could to get revenge, and all te while cooperating with them.

And this is where the problem lies with the current occupation, the US forces have no real idea who is and who is not an enemy.

  3. GL,

You haven't provided us with the context of the photo. It might be that this was just taking the mug shot at a legitimate arrest. For me, this nullifies the words accompanying the photo.

I don't disagree with your thesis. The US military has done an incredibly terrible job in winning the support of average citizens of the countries we occupied. Quite the opposite - for many families, we've caused a hatred that will last generations.

The problem starts at the higher-level leadership, not the average-Joe soldier.

  4. That's pretty sad. Scary and humiliating beyond belief for these people, no doubt. Just because Amerikans sheepishly submit to these and other humiliations such as the sexual molestation at airports and drug tests at work, it doesn't mean that everybody takes it to it readily.

Shameful! But they can't possibly understand why they hated.

Coincidentally, New York is already using these gadgets on their willing herds.

  5. So, when your friendly Chinese commisar Toi-Let comes to your neighborhood with one of these gadgets, just remember your taxes paid for it.
